在计划下，每个入围项目最高可获直接资助额1000万元(港币，下同)，用以支持项目在创意概念、舞台制作、场地租用、市场推广等方面的开支。为引入社会资源共同参与本地表演艺术的发展，并鼓励入围项目争取更大的观众支持，计划会就每个入围项目获得的私人赞助额及门劵收益另外提供相应的配对资助，上限为500万元。

入围项目必须在香港上演最少15场舞台表演，以及吸引共最少1万名购票入场的观众。此外，为贯彻计划以培育具代表性的本地大型表演艺术项目作长期公演的目标，入围项目如能在首轮演出获利，并在其后18个月内在香港推出第二轮与首轮规模相若的演出，将可获相等于首轮项目资助总额的20%的额外资助，以鼓励成功的项目长期在港公演。
