2016年，郭建纬与王艺芝从台湾来到广西进行水产养殖考察，随后便在此间设立实验基地，并开始致力于海水鱼内陆养殖技术的成果落地。“我们经过考察后发现，海水鱼的需求量在未来大陆市场会呈现增长趋势，而当初选择南宁设立实验基地，主要是因为在沿海地区取得所需养殖设备及鱼苗的途径相对更为便捷。”王艺芝告诉记者。
